Confused

I liked the slick website design and the budget versus virtual hosting options. But after a while you wonder if your hosting plan isn't part of some other's customer's virtual or entire virtual server tranche of the web. Integrated service was fine, but I was constantly amazed at how the installation process would vary. If I could have linked my website project to another hosting company than MidPhase i probably would have had the same level of satisfaction.

Great hosting

Great hosting but some new in market framework that had a slight learning curve. Great customer service response. Am I the only one who knows about these guys? These plans look tempting. The design is really clean.

Customer Service is Crap

After they shared hosting server crashed, absolutely no redundancy, I waited two weeks for them to get my site back online. Yes that was two weeks without my domain being available. Then they failed to move my database, which required a completed redesign and rebuild of the entire web platform due to a month of trying to work with them. Now their database engine has revoked insert permissions to my login to my database and after 3 weeks I still have no resolution. They even closed my support ticket without resolving the issue. I WILL NOT BE USING MIDPHASE AS A WEBHOST EVERR AGAIN.

I didn’t see anything that would make me migrate my domains or current projects. FTP utility is Ok but it’s a lot of work to transfer entire server names for not that much technical benefit.

Poor Uptime

Midphase continues to have issues keeping their servers online. It is frustrating when your site is not up and you are losing sales!

Their claim is “you don’t have to know a thing about writing code to build a website”. That’s true but you have to maintain it. Someone who doesn’t know code may not understand the value here, or need 99 SQL databases inside 1 account. Who is their customer?

Twenty domains or 420 domains?

Graphic on spring madness special was hard to read in the Misphase Linus spring madness offering details. Is that a 4 in front of the 20?

suxx

Does not match the unlimited bandwidth and unlimited file transfer offered at other hosting sites. But 99 SQL dbases can be handy too. This definitely not priced for beginner, one stop shopping for one beginning domain, or newbies. But the tech details provisioned are. ????
