Great prize, helpful, easy
As a domain newby, other hosting company sites left me confused and dizzy with choices. The top 10 most asked questions was a great place to start. The Hosting Review chose Hostpapa.com as their Editor's Pick for 2008 and I can see why. $4.95 is a great price for a monthly website and domain hosting online. I liked the control panel and the tips area for new website makers.

Super Mario game Design
The landing pages was woefully marketed to a much younger and more unsophisticated audience than myself and my IT staff. It seemed like they took their design logo from a Super Mario brothers game. The wind turbines and the Italian looking man had very little to do with the subject at hand. On design alone I would say that Hostpapa.com needs some design work before it claims to host the world's best new sites.

for newbies
One plan, one fee works for only very basic web designers who know their site will only attract a handful of hobby viewers or limited chronological traffic around an event or community activity date. The YAHOO credits only work if you are willing to attach a credit card to the search terms that match your site, the credits don't actually have a lot of value by themselves unless a big marketing push is planned. This provider would not be the hosting company for such a site.

All prices in Canadian dollars? I am not sure that will be of benefit to American customers in every billing cycle.

This is a very junior level hosting company. The appeal is to keep it simple. But sooner or later web sites do get complex.
