Inflexible and frustrating

My long term hosting provider was bought by this crowd. So far I have had nothing but frustration with them. accounts and settings have been changed I have lost clients because email account access and ftp credentials were changed arbitrarily. Clients cant remember the way they set up their new URLs. Requests to restore settings and suggestions to improve thier bedside manner were met with refusal to cooperate. Guess where we are going!

not valuable- our fault?

The transformational aspect of our web migration died on the vine when we got to this provider. Our staff started a united effort to utilize the tools and programs inside this hosting company. Many of the elements and dynamics of much of what we depend on inside a third party hosting vendor simply weren't there. Was this our fault, because we hadn't seen transparently enough into the packages?

missing features

I missed the old configurations of too many programs and administrator modules and didn't like the WYSIWYG applications. This web hosting simply did not appeal to many operators in my group. Many salient features were obliterated or missing from key application versions. If I am doing upgrades myself, I might as well be tweaking the freeware and shareware myself at the code level before installations.

my opinion about

This Hosting platform was a capable springboard that allowed me to ramp up my site building focus while growing my marketing campaign. The Web Hosting offering allowed my group to exploit the entrepreneurship available within the CGI Web Hosting applications. I am wholeheartedly happy to recommend this hosting provider for server management and individual website development.

They suck now..

EASYCGI has moved to a new dataceenter and changed its management (Endurance Group). Since their move there is 0 support, low-functionallity and a terrible Support team that will waste your time re-authenticating you 1000-times before they tell you that they cannot be of any help. EASY CGI has severly deteriorated into an incompetent host.

Missing support

I saw few signs of life when I was readying our upload, and the FTP process with this Web Hosting was not completely smooth. I saw little interest from the customer service staff to adding any more hints, tips or tricks many other web hosting staff had done in the past. To trigger an error or outage report took work. I would not believe this hosting company was the most qualified available without proof.

Great reactivity to turnkey solution that was needed. I liked their support and they answered my simple questions. A lot of features I look forward to using.

Ironically the name of the hosting company seemed to do it the least service. I do not understand why CGI hosting is the name of a hosting company with little or no marginal cgi features inside its plain wrap hosting plans. Overpriced and prepayment “deals” featuring no setup are a joke. Other hosting will bill monthly at a better rate and price with no prepayment.
