Hardly best of breed
I forecasted immense profits after an initial training and launch website period. But the choices with respect to vendors for different carts and packages became limited very fast with respect to other hosting vendors. I continued to use this web host provider because my site had been already built there, but the applications at other hosting solutions and web providers always reminded me that they were hardly best of breed in the hosting channel.

Great feedback from staff!
My Internet property was appraised with a very high potential for affiliate income and the prime opportunity presented itself via Yahoo!. I chose this provider due to its reliability and stability in the online space. The teaser domain offer was of value to me, but also the universal administration menu allowed very easy personnel coaching for my staff for basic tasks. Feedback from my staff was good and ratings about ease of use were high.

No advanced hosting solution
This host machine felt easy and very accessible, but did not really meet all my identified needs. For new business people making their first step to an online website, this would be recommended. But for an advanced hosting solution for realtime applications and open source resources, they are not the answer. They causes you to open a new Yahoo email account, that may be one email account too many for some people.

Mark my words
I was not encouraged by this vendor and their issues with the domain hosting effort I attempted. The risk of using this hosting was that the tightened control over many administrative functions previously accessed by other interfaces caused unnecessary confusion. My impression was that they were a good hosting solution for a beginner or first time domain name owner or domain developer, not professional IT developers.

YAHOO
They were a great domain offer and I jumped at the chance to capitalize on a great domain idea. They delivered a great turnkey solution coupled with great value. My situation piggybacked great hosting reliability with easy to manage interface options. Customer service assisted some of our administrators with the proper frame relay and IP addressing decisions.

I would not recommend the Yahoo except for price and a single entity domain development project. I just don’t see Yahoo boosting any site except a straightforward store.

Not very competitive
I used Yahoo domains to get a dollar ninety nine price. I never used the other programs and the cname and hostname capabilities were very watered down. Not very competitive except for single focus one name efforts.

better in the past
Yahoo hosting domain servicing has lost the “Lockdown” feeling it used to give. But there are a lot of “beginners ease of use” type utilities that make a pablum feel when trying to operate the domain above beginner level. Even the burn in process has been dumbed down a little too much. The Cname and hostname workings were transparent. But the function and result of these remain somewhat unknown.

satisfaction
I was told about Yahoo to get my site up and running. I thought Yahoo was mostly an email and search engine utility. But the help areas and clear cut path to getting my site up took the headache out of the whole thing. Wasn‘t it supposed to be harder than this?

Yahoo is great
I used Yahoo domains and hosting for when I want to steer a very independent web hosting client to a place where they can review FAQs and get coaching from customer service. Yahoo is great for single domain website service.
